    About Airedale Terrier Puppies

This is often referred to as ‘The King of Terriers’. This is because it is the largest terrier. It originated from Aire Valley, an area situated in Yorkshire, England.

    History

Like most modern breeds in San Diego, the Airedale Terrier Puppies originated in England. It was first cited in the 19th century and was bred by mill workers in Black and tan Terrier. The breed was developed by breeding the English Bull Terrier with the Otter-hound. The idea was to create a dog that could have the stamina of handling a full day’s hunting work. The breed was designed to work hand in hand with the horse and attack vermin, ferrets and foxes. The size was suitable for following vermin even when they went underground. The Airedale Terrier San Diego can also cope with diverse conditions.

Being a large dog, it took people some time to accept the Airedale Terrier Puppies. The standards in appearance are still strict today. Its brave nature led to more breeding during World War I. At the time, it was used as a police dog by the military or as a messenger.

    Appearance

The key to purchasing the right Airedale Terrier puppy lies in a buyer’s ability to identify it. This is best done by looking at the physical appearances. The breed has a black and tan coat which is often described as broken. Its coat is hard, wiry and dense. The coat is usually tidy and lies straight and flat on the body. The undercoat is soft as opposed to the outer which is stiff and tough. The triangular shaped ears flop forward and are compact and dark. The Airedale Terrier San Diego also has long legs that enable it to move swiftly.

    Temperament

The dog is courageous, independent, loyal and intelligent. These are the characteristics that make it perfect as a hunting and working breed. It also shows herding behaviors. Absent proper training, these traits make the breed problematic. You should always start by taking your Airedale Terrier Puppies through rigorous training. The training must be firm and routine. This is because of its strong willed nature.
