    Brussels Griffon Puppies

The Brussels griffon puppy is generally a short and thick toy breed. They have well known black eyes which are set far apart. The eyes are wide and large and are somewhat described as giving a humanlike expression of both energy and intelligence. The ears are small and high set on the head; the can either be cropped or not depending on the wish of the breeder or owner. The forehead is round in shape and the forehead somewhat domed. The San Diego Brussels Griffon puppies have a short nose which is black and has large nostrils. The jaws make an under bite with the lower incisors going over the upper.

The Brussels griffon puppies San Diego have a neck that is medium in length and slightly arched. The neck leads to a level and short back of compact and thick body. The breed comes with two different types of coats; smooth and rough. The smooth coat is normally short and close to the dog’s body and has no wiriness indications. The rough coat, on the other hand, is wiry textured and has no silky or wooly texture. The coat can be in different colors such as red, black and black & tan. Some breeders refer the Brussels griffon with a black coat as a Belgian Griffon and the red coated ones as the Brussels griffon.

    Temperament

The San Diego Brussels Griffon puppies are mainly purchased for their intelligence and affection. They can also be stubborn. Their personality is similar to that of the terrier. They make great human companions due to their affection and desire to be in the company of their family. It is important to note that they can at times be nervous and had to train. In spite of that setback, they are great watchdogs and do not need lots of exercise. This is what makes them recommendable for people searching for an indoor dog. All in all, you need to note that they can be high-strung hence recommended against households with smaller children.

    Care

Just like all small dogs, the Brussels griffon puppies San Diego suffer from the small dog syndrome. If not properly cared for and corrected, they might tend to be defensive and start herding other people and pets. The puppies need to be trained at an early age and socialized.

The long haired coat also needs frequent grooming. The coat must be brushed regularly to prevent tangling and matting. The smooth coated dogs require minimal grooming. With the wire coated, professional help in grooming is at times advocated. You will also need to trim the nails, clean the ears and get vaccinations.

You need to exercise your San Diego Brussels Griffon puppy regularly. A daily walk will suffice.
