    Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever puppies

    The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is also referred to simply as Toller. It is a medium sized gundog which was primarily bred for hunting. It makes the list of the smallest retrievers. People often mistake him for the Golden retriever. The San Diego Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever puppies are known for their high intelligence, alertness, and high energy. They get their name from their being able to lure waterfowl within a gunshot range. It originated in Nova Scotia, Canada where it was mainly used to retrieve ducks.

    Description

The chest is deep which makes the dog well insulated for cold water swimming. It has a dense coat which comes in a range of red and orange shades. The dog normally has white markings on its feet, tail tip, and chest and at times on its face. The coat is straight though there may be a slight wave on the back. The ears are triangle in shape and are high set. The head is somewhat wedged in shape. Other than that, the body is compact, powerful and well muscled. The legs are sturdy and solid.

    Temperament

So long as they have enough exercises to shed their excess natural energy, they make great companion dogs. Around strangers, the dog may be a bit reserved.
