The Whippet is also known as the Snap or the English Whippet dog. This is a medium sized dog breed originating in England. They descended from the greyhounds and they closely resemble a small sized greyhound. The best thing about this dog breed is that it is prone to very few health issues. People consider them as family dogs though they are also still used in sports such as agility, fly-ball and lure coursing. The San Diego Whippet puppies were initially greyhounds but were deemed unsuitable hunters because of their size.
The Whippet puppy San Diego is a medium sized sight-hound that closely resembles the Greyhound. It has a long skull with a fairly wide space between the ears. It has a long muzzle which has almost no stop and it tapers towards the black, dark blue or dark brown nose. The teeth make a level bite. The ears are erect and held back. The eyes are oval shaped and dark in color. The fore legs are straight and have thick feet that are catlike. The tail is long and tapers to some point. The tail is normally held low with an upward curve near the tip. Dewclaws may be removed.
The coat of the San Diego Whippet puppies is short and smooth and comes in a range of colors. The main colors are brindle, red, black, tiger white, slate blue and fawn. The coat may be solid colored or have mixed colors.
